North Harris Trust exists to acheive the regeneration and development of the North Harris community by  managing the North Harris Estate as an area of outstandingly wild and rugged beauty, through local participation  and working with other partners where appropriate, all for the benefit of the local community and the wider  public.
The West Harris Trust is a community charity responsible for managing land on the West Side of Harris. West  Harris Trust’s key aims are to re-vitalise the community by attracting new residents and creating new housing  and employment opportunities, create environmentally sustainable energy for the community and conserve and  increase understanding of the natural and cultural heritage.  
Harris Development Limited is a non-profit community development company,  limited by guarantee, made up of memebers from the local community, working  in a voluntary capacity to develop, promote and support the Isle of Harris.

Co-Cheangal Innse Gall (CCIG), the Western Isles Third Sector Interface is a partnership of 5  local organisations, Volunteer Centre, Harris Voluntary Service, Volunteering Hebrides, &  Voluntary Action Action Barra. CCIG was formed in 2010 to support volunteering, social  enterprise and the voluntary sector.  
Western Isles Community Care Forum (WICCF) is an “umbrella group” of the voluntry sector,  comprising of representatives from the voluntary care providers in the Western Isles. WICCF  works with statutory and voluntary health and social care providers to maximise the  resources and services available to vulnerable groups.  
The Isle of Harris Golf Club (Comann Goilf na Hearadh) was set up in 1930, located in Scarista  on the West Coast of Harris and is described as one of the most picturesque 9-hole golf  courses in the world.  
Outer Hebrides Community Planning Partnership (OHCPP) brings together the public,  private and voluntary sector along with the local community to agree on priorities in the  planning and provision of services and ensure on the most effective delivery of services  and increase the benefits within the community.  
Voluntary Action Barra promotes any charitable purpose for the community of Barra and  Vatersay, particularly in the advancement of education, health and the relief of poverty, distress  and sickness by bringing together council representatives  of the Statutory Authorities and  voluntary organisations within the Islands of Barra and Vatersay.
